Results

We have electronic timing for this event which will mean the results will be available sooner.  We hope to have them on the website on Sunday afternoon.

Weather Conditions

If prior years are any guide, this time of year generally provides favorable conditions to run in.  People new to running are encouraged to take it easy until you are well over half way and to save a sprint until the last 200-400m (Breed Street roundabout).   If it is a warm morning, everyone is encouraged to drink 200mls of water (a small cup) about 10 minutes before the start and 200mls every 30-40 minutes there-after, for most runners this will mean upon finishing.  There will be a drink station at the half-way mark with water for anyone who is looking for a drink.  Running or walking in the morning is a great way to avoid the heat of the day.

First Aid

St John’s First Aid will be available to anyone who requires it.  If you see someone who requires assistance, please notify the nearest marshal who will phone or radio for assistance.  We ask all participants to take care of themselves and other participants during the event.

Toilets

Given the large crowd expected at this event we are providing additional toilets which will be situated on the north side of Kay Street on the grass between Gippsland Pathology and the Ryan’s Hotel Car Park.  A toilet will also be situated at the half-way point.

Parking

There are plenty of car parks within reasonable walking distance of the event.  Substantial parking is available behind Ryan’s Hotel on the north side of Kay Street and around the Latrobe City Civic Centre.  On the southern side of Kay Street considerable parking is available behind the police station and behind Harris Scarfe.  Other substantial parking is available at the 3 level car park in Seymour Street and ASIC off Franklin Street north of Grey Street.

Running or Walking with Friends is GREAT FUN!!!
