Welcome to Traralgon Harriers Athletics Club Website

Traralgon Harriers is a running club for people of all ages and abilities. We aim to provide a fun, structured, supportive environment for new and experienced runners alike.

In addition to hosting our Thursday Night races, the club organises some of Victoria’s well known running events, including the Traralgon Marathon, the Walhalla Trail Run and our annual King of the Mountain.  While many of our events target the serious or more seasoned runner, we welcome people of all abilities.  Running with the Harriers means running for fun and enjoyment, and our fun, friendly approach makes the club a great option for anyone wanting to improve their fitness, their running and enjoy the company of like minded people.

Thursday Night Run/Walk

With the exception of a few weeks over Christmas, you can run or walk with the Harriers every Thursday night.  See the calendar below for the location of the next outing.  You can find all of the Thursday race results on our Results Archive page (and some happy snaps on our Thursday night photos page).

News and Events

2014 Annual Christmas Run

A terrific wrap up for the year with the group getting together for an evening to celebrate the holiday season and come together as a club.  The run was an un-timed social run following a 5km circuit from the clubrooms.  Many runners helped increase the Christmas cheer by donning hats, t-shirts, antlers and bells that had the group jingling through the streets.  The sudden downpour of rain as the group arrived abated and held off to a mild drizzle which didn’t dampen spirits.

Runners completed 2 laps from the rooms to Cross’s Road, then along the length of Gilmour Street to Grey St before heading back up Grubb Ave to complete a smaller lap across Douglas Parade. Many runners took the opportunity to run at a social pace for a chat while others decided to stretch the legs and push a bit harder.

After the run the harriers met for a social evening with dinner and games.  Thank you to everyone who came along and for those who helped organise the evening.

We hope everyone has a terrific break and look forward to recommencing the Summer Championship on Thursday 15th of January.TH18122014_07

Duncan’s Run Hundred

10616171_984695164892805_8285078164820549172_nAfter a stunning inaugural event in 2013, it was wonderful to see this event grow even bigger in it’s second year with people coming literally from far and wide to tackle the iconic trails that wind their way from Balook.  Duncan’s spirit shone through across the day which together with idyllic weather conditions provided the backdrop for many great stories and personal achievements.  Pictured are our own 100km legends, Darrel Cross and Ian Twite.  For full results visit the website
