Welcome to the Traralgon Harriers Athletics Club website

We’re a running club for people of all ages and abilities, aiming to provide a fun and supportive environment for new and experienced runners alike.

In addition to hosting our weekly Thursday Night runs, the club organises some of Victoria’s best known running events, including the Traralgon Marathon, the Walhalla Wound Up and our annual King & Queen of the Mountain.  While many of our events target the serious or more seasoned runner, we welcome people of all abilities.  Running with the Harriers means running for enjoyment, and our fun, friendly approach makes the club a great option for anyone wanting to improve their fitness and their running, while enjoying the company of positive and supportive people.

Thursday Night Run/Walk

With the exception of a few weeks over Christmas, you can run or walk with the Harriers every Thursday night.  See the calendar below for the location of the next outing.  You can find all of the Thursday race results on our Results Archive page (and some happy snaps on our Thursday night photos page).

New Runners – please arrive around 5.45pm on your first night and approach one of the volunteers on duty (identified by a high vis vest).  They will register you and ensure you are covered by insurance, give you a club brochure, explain what you need to know and introduce you to a few others.  Directions to the course are available using the Google maps function from the calendar.

Edward Hunter X/C Championships this Sunday!

KP@Ed Hunter

The last cross country event of the season is right on our doorstep at the Edward Hunter Reserve Moe (just off Coalville Rd).  With a 4km option for junior and novice entrants, an 8km event for the ladies and 12km for the gents, this event offers up a great mix of single track, groomed trail and bush reserve surrounds.  Entries on the day from 8am with racing commencing at 9am.  At just $10 for Harriers members (and AV members of other clubs) it really is an event too good to miss.  Note that a fee of $20 shall apply to those not part of an AV affiliated club.

parkrun is a great experience, the club is delighted to have contributed to the establishment of Traralgon parkrun this year.  We believe parkrun is going to provide some fantastic benefits to the local community as well as our members.  Please come along and wear your harriers singlet.   For more information and to register refer to the Traralgon parkrun website and facebook sites.  We welcome and encourage anyone to participate and hope that over the coming 12-18 months that other towns in Latrobe Valley will establish their own parkrun events.
